We are in the throes of welcoming over 250 new starters into the industry as trainees and apprentices with our member firms. Following the hiring crisis, businesses are rightly concerned about recruiting and retaining talent, and we are making the most of this opportunity by helping our members set a supportive and welcoming environment for their new graduates and school leavers.
Starting a new job can be stressful and for many of our trainees and apprentices it is their first professional job and there is so much for them to consider, including whether they will fit in. We are providing support by welcoming trainees through our centrally organised onboarding programme.
Trainees benefit from advice and guidance from industry professionals who started their career through Investment20/20 and get the opportunity to meet with other new starters from across the industry. By complementing members’ own onboarding programmes, a supportive and welcoming environment is established to set trainees up for the best possible start.
Early career starters are keen to gain experience, knowledge and skills as soon as they start and to support our members, Investment20/20 offers an extensive trainee professional development programme to build understanding of industry awareness as well as soft and technical skills development.
