Over the summer the Investment20/20 team has been busy putting together a panel event looking at how we bridge the skills gap and attract more talented young people into our industry. Senior speakers from the worlds of teaching, education policy, government and investment management have now been confirmed. The panellists encompass a broad range of expertise and will bring their own unique perspective on the investment management industry.

The event has been designed to provide wide-ranging insights into how businesses can best manage their future skill requirements in an industry that is changing at pace. The skill requirements of our workforce are already different to what we needed pre-pandemic. World-class data, cyber and digital skills will be paramount to the industry’s future success, especially in relation to the fast-developing ESG market.

The discussion will also focus on how the sector should play its role in supporting our future talent pipeline by developing crucial skills here in the UK. Our position as a world-leading industry means policymakers look to us to contribute to the development of our young people and provide a broad range of accessible opportunities.
