Investment Ambassadors are volunteers from our membership, who play a significant role in our outreach programme. Since September 2022 they have contributed over 780 hours of support to schools, colleges, and universities. By sharing their career journey, volunteers help students to consider pathways into investment management and provide life stories with which people can resonate. Investment Ambassadors benefit too by taking part, developing presentation skills in front of a different audience, building their confidence in a new environment, and understanding the barriers to work that some young people experience.
Our volunteers support the corporate social responsibility and philanthropy strategy of firms, giving back to local communities and people, contributing to the sectors overall social impact. Volunteers are part of an employer’s talent attraction provision, helping to promote an employer brand, giving that ‘real life’ case study of the culture of an organisation.
Investment Ambassadors support a range of Investment20/20 outreach activities, from career networking to specific masterclasses on cybersecurity, FinTech, ESG and many more. Their enthusiasm is always warmly welcomed by our partner schools, colleges, and universities!
