And how we are expanding the Global Partner Programme

Applications for the fifth cohort of cutting-edge FinTech firms to join our Engine Innovator Programme are now open.

Engine is the IA’s specialist FinTech accelerator and innovation hub for firms with market-viable technology that addresses the needs of the investment management sector.

Having launched three years ago, it is now home to over 150 FinTechs – 20 of which have taken part in the Engine Innovator Programme which gives the firms exclusive access to industry expertise and intel, and valuable exposure to industry networks and potential clients. Participants also benefit from 1-2-1 meetings and mentoring with the Engine Advisory Panel which is made up of 29 industry practitioners who are on hand to provide support.

The fifth cohort will officially commence with the Engine Innovator Programme in March 2022.

We’re also really excited about the ongoing expansion of our Global Partner Programme, having recently signed MOUs with Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia (in addition to the existing ones with Japan, Singapore, UAE and Qatar). These international partnerships help establish connections between key FinTech hubs across the globe to build momentum and advance the broader FinTech agenda.

The pandemic has further emphasised the importance of technology in boosting operational resilience within businesses, plus creating more effective ways in serving their customers. Engaging FinTech companies will deliver significant efficiencies across the value chain as well as help the UK retain its position as a leading investment management centre.

The UK already has a depth of FinTech talent and Engine allows us to support the growth of these firms.
